ProSign Process Design GmbH offers iCon-L, a proprietary graphical software technology that provides a powerful framework for the systematic and structured development of embedded software on very small to medium-sized microcontrollers.
With iCon-L, software solutions are configured in a model-based manner: By graphically connecting simple to highly complex function blocks and combining them into new components, iCon-L enables a consistent and comprehensive design process that optimally supports the development of a clear software architecture.
iCon-L is a unique solution.
It is not a code generator, but a configurator that allows you to assemble your own software modules, as well as the modules supplied by us, into complete software solutions. This makes iCon-L a natural fit for software product line engineering, supporting all phases of the development lifecycle.

The technology consists of two core components:
• A graphical editor for model-based configuration and wiring of function block symbols
• A runtime kernel on the target hardware, containing the precompiled functional code of all modules

The runtime kernel is highly portable and available for 8-, 16-, 32-, and 64-bit systems.
ProSign provides comprehensive support for porting the runtime kernel to your hardware platform or can, upon request, take over the entire project management—from requirements specification to final certification.
